Google Meet's 'On-the-Go' Mode: Enhancing Walking Meetings

 In a recent discovery by 9to5Google, it has been revealed that Google Meet, the popular video conferencing platform, is actively developing an innovative feature called 'On-the-Go' mode. This mode aims to provide a safer and more convenient experience for users participating in video calls while walking. By seamlessly adapting to the user's movement, Google Meet's 'On-the-Go' mode seeks to eliminate distractions and enhance productivity during mobile meetings.

The upcoming 'On-the-Go' mode in Google Meet comes as a response to the evolving work culture and the need for flexibility in virtual meetings. One of the highlights of this mode is its ability to automatically detect user movement through the sensors on smartphones. If a user is detected to be walking, Google Meet will prompt them to switch to the 'On-the-Go' mode, optimizing the interface for a mobile experience. Alternatively, users can manually enable this mode via a new option within the in-call menu.

Upon activation, the 'On-the-Go' mode temporarily disables the user's camera and stops streaming video from other participants. Instead, a redesigned layout with larger, easily accessible buttons will be displayed. This design focuses on key functionalities like muting/unmuting, raising hands, adjusting audio settings, and ending the call. The streamlined interface ensures that users can quickly glance at their screens and interact with the necessary features without compromising their safety while on the move.

Multiple mcp23017 interfacing with Arduino
