Battle of the Bots: Bard vs ChatGPT - Who Comes Out on Top?

Google's latest language model for dialogue applications, Bard , has been making headlines recently, competing with ChatGPT -4 as one of the most popular conversational AI tools. In this head-to-head comparison, we take a closer look at these two chatbots and evaluate them based on several parameters, including their human-like response, training dataset and underlying technology, authenticity of response, access to the internet, user-friendliness and interface, text processing. Human-Like Response : The ability to provide human-like responses is crucial for any chatbot's success. In terms of mimicking natural language and having more open-ended conversations, Bard outperforms ChatGPT-4. The model can understand the intent behind a user's questions and the nuance of context in a conversation. Bard's responses are designed to be ultra-authentic and mimic human speech so accurately that they are indistinguishable from a real human. Training Dataset and Underlying Techno...

Google Launches AI-Powered Coding Tools, Competes with GitHub Copilot

Google has launched a suite of AI-powered coding tools that directly competes with GitHub's Copilot, according to a report from TechChurch. The announcement was made at Google's annual I/O developer conference, which showcases the latest technology advancements and updates. The tools announced by Google include Codey, an AI model specifically trained to handle coding-related prompts and Google Cloud queries. Codey is based on Google's PaLM 2 large language model and was trained on a large corpus of open-source code and internal Google code samples. Developers can access the new tools through an extension for Visual Studio Code, JetBrains IDEs, the Google Shell Editor, and Google's cloud-hosted Workstations service. The tools support Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, and SQL. Google's new coding tools will allow developers to chat with Codey in their IDE or write a comment in a text file and have it generate the relevant code. The code generation feature is not specifi...

Google's AI experiment Bard adds coding capabilities for programming and software development tasks

Google's AI experiment Bard has recently added coding capabilities for programming and software development tasks. Bard was initially launched as an experiment that allows users to collaborate with generative AI. Since its launch, coding has been one of the top requests that the team has received from users. As a result, the Google Research team has updated Bard to include this capability. Paige Bailey, a Group Product Manager at Google Research and a passionate engineer who still programs every day, stated that they are excited to launch this feature. With Bard's new coding capabilities, users can generate code, debug it, and even get an explanation of their code snippets. The coding capabilities are available in more than 20 programming languages, including C++, Go, Java, Javascript, Python, and Typescript. One of the most exciting features of Bard's coding capabilities is the ability to export Python code to Google Colab without requiring any copy and paste. This can sav...

Google Launches AI Chatbot Bard for Over-18s as Rival to ChatGPT

Google has officially launched its own AI chatbot,   Bard , which is set to rival the popular ChatGPT. However, unlike ChatGPT, Bard is only available to users over the age of 18 and is currently limited to the US and UK. While ChatGPT has been generating buzz since its launch in November 2022, Bard has been in development for some time. It is a descendant of Google’s earlier language model, Lambda, which was never fully released to the public. Lambda attracted attention when one of the engineers who worked on it claimed its answers were so compelling that he believed it was sentient. Google denied the claims and the engineer was fired. Bard is an experiment in generative AI, according to Google senior product director Jack Krawczyk. He hopes people will use it as a “launchpad for creativity” rather than a replacement for human intelligence. Bard is programmed not to respond to offensive prompts and has filters to prevent it from sharing harmful, illegal, sexually explicit, or pers...
