Running light

                                                        fig:- Running light circuit diagram We use two ICs one is 555 timer IC for frequency generator and another is  CD4017 which is a decade counter.and the arrangement of circuit is made as shown in above figure.  Here the 555 timer IC is operated in astable mode,that means it doesn't have stable state.the output continuously switches state between high and low without any intervention from the user, called a "square wave".it can use as a clock pulse for a digital ICs and circuit.                                                   fig square wave  output from pin 3 of 555 IC. The output of timer IC is then connect to the 4017 IC. The 4017 is a decade counter with 10 decoded output which its output glowing will slide down each position by beginning from pin -3 to pin -11 in a sequence.when its output is at pin 11 light will back to pin-3 and continue glow in a sequence each step by the signal from the 555 tim
