OnRobot's Gecko Gripper

The Gecko gripper robot , designed from NASA technology ,based on agile gecko Lizard.The main objectives of this robot is to provide a revolutionary support to the gripper technology. OnRobot gecko technology makes it possible to attach and lift any kinds of smooth surfaces. This innovation is awarded by innovation and entrepreneurship Award (IERA) at 2018.

 According to NASA,This Gecko robot is an alternative and new solution for handling the object.The Gecko adhesive uses microscopic angled hair to stick surfaces using vander waals force. The adhesive can be turn on and off based on slight sliding motion due to the geometry of micro-structure. the adhesive are reusable  for thousand of cycles without losing their effectiveness.

Kristan hulgard,OnRobot general manager,united states said that due to its smoothness the market reaction of Gecko gripper has been extremely positive.

Application

Earth application :-
 Robot  that uses gecko adhesive to climb walls have numerous military as well as security application.

Space application :-
Because of its smoothness and reliability  it prove vital for spacecraft safety and repair.

Multiple mcp23017 interfacing with Arduino

MCP23017 is the I/O port extender that runs on 12C. It is 16-bit I/O expender.in this tutorial we are going to interface the single and multiple  mcp23017 with arduino.  fig:- mcp32017 module IT has 16 I/O ports from PA0 to PA7 and PB0 to PB7. first of all we are going to interface the single mcp23017 with Arduino. For this  connect the circuit as shown on figure. Download the library for mcp23017  from  sketch-- include library -- manage libraries.
