P-N junction diode:-
It is an electronics component that allows the current to flow only in one direction.
Forward biasing:-
When the p-side of diode is connect to the positive side and n-side of diode is connect to the negative side of the battery then the diode is said to be forward biased.During forward biasing the depletion width is reduced & the barrier potential is reduced so current flows.
Reversed biasing:-
when the p-side is connected to the negative side of battery and n-side of battery is connect to the positive side of the battery then the diode is said to be reversed biased.The depletion width is increased as result no current flows due to majority charge but small amount of current flow due to minority charge carrier.
